Dead Kennedy veröffentlichte den VeteranMod Demo Addon in den Bi-Foren. Das Addon enthält den VeteranMod aus ArmA2 für ArmA3.

The attachTo command can be unnecessarily time consuming since you have to basically guess the position of the attached object. Therefore I've made a dialog with which you can attach any object to another and return the offset. And there's more.

Of course the main function is to find the offset, therefore you only need point (1) to (3) of the main display. Everything else is just nice to have and I thought why not? The documentation inside of the scripts is pretty bad because I was focussing on scripting, not explaining. Feel free to ask me anything. Bugs can ofcourse be reported in this thread ;)

Das FFAAMOD Team veröffentlichte sein LYTHIUM Addon in den Bi-Foren. Das Addon soll Stammesgebiete Afghanistans darstellen. Enthalten sind u.a. große Täler, zwei Hauptstädte, Dörfer, kleinere Städte, Flugplätzen.

The map replicate the tribal areas of Afghanistan, crossed by a large valley that runs over the map. You will find two main cities, aside from the villages or smaller towns, both oriented on north and south of the map with their respective airfields. The map name comes from the main route linking those two provinces in which all the operating of the Spanish armed forces in Afghanistan took place between 2002-2015 to secure the route between Badghis and Bala Murghad.

I've been wanting to make a mod that adds some small/unusual objects/vehicles to Arma since Arma 2, but I've never really had the time or more importantly the talent to make anything for the game. Hopefully i'll get around to making some other objects (i'll take some requests as to what people want with regards logistical items - remember I'm a noob at modelling and texturing). My focus has been on learning how to make logistical objects as I feel these are lacking within Arma itself, and now that Arma is starting to lend itself to it (ViV, PhysX etc) rather than having to mod it in with scripts.

I've been working on learning how to mod within Arma 3 and finally have made something that i'm happy to release to the community. I'll probably add more reskins of the object in future releases alongside some more objects hopefully as and when I get time to make them.

Anyway, here is the first release package - yes its small, but I think it will help me to gather feedback from the community on how to improve and if logistical objects are worth continuing to make. The barrel contains 800 units of fuel which will refuel the Huron about 60%. These barrels are also explosive if you shoot at them and can be slingloaded around via a Littlebird. The barrels can be found in Things>Small Items.

Included in the package is:
- A single barrel object which comes in 2 different skins.
- A ambush mission on Tanoa which involves the use of the barrels as part of the mission. Please note that this mission uses CUP and Apex.
- The unwrapped exported UV texture which you can use to create new reskins of the barrel. (Hidden Selection = "CAMO_LOD1")
- Signed server keys.

What is Suppress about?
Video games generally can barely recreate one thing:
The fear of losing your life.
In reality, suppressing the enemy by sending shitloads of bullets is so effective because he's sure that sticking out his head will end his life-forever.
This can't be recreated, however, because you won't have that feeling when sitting in front of the PC.
Most players will return fire anyway or at least try to get a glimpse at who's shooting at them.
Usually, you wouldn't continue shooting when a bullet just flew right past your face.

This is especially frustrating when playing TvT missions and firing 100 rounds of a 7.62mm at him doesn't seem to bother the enemy.
This mod is supposed to change this dramatically.

What is this?
Many people told me to make an "immersion" bundle out of my smaller, immersion-oriented mods, so here we go!
The original mods will be abandoned, future updates will be applied to this bundle.

What does the bundle include
ExShake - CamShake for explosions, even distant ones!
• Twitch - Slight "twitching" when someone or something fires nearby
• A new, small thingy simply called recoil which applies a little screenshake when firing your weapons, intended to make shooting feel more satisfying and punchy.
• "Force" adds a slight radial blur and darkens the screen a bit for a split second when firing

What is Enhanced Soundscape?
Enhanced Soundscape is a sound enhancement modification for ArmA3. It adds additional, weapon-sound related features to the game. Those are hill/mountain reverb and reflections, forest reflections as well as reflections from houses in urban areas.
The basic principle is: Firing a weapon creates a loud noise, noise is waves that swing through the air/make the air swing and those waves get reflected off objects and terrain. The volume levels were done with my soundmod "DynaSound 2" in mind, but ES works with every mod including the vanilla sounds since nothing "core" is changed.

Real-time calculated Hill/mountain reverb:
The feature simulates the reflection of the gunshot-noise when there are hills around you. The further the mountain/hill, the more diffuse the reflection will be. Close terrain will reflect a clear "popp", while mountains in the distance will send back a diffuse, "crumbly" echo. The feature is calculated in real-time and real-environment, meaning you will actually be able to see the mountain the shot got reflected from.

Forest reverb:
So many trees and plants around you create some kind of "half-enclosed space". You will hear a thick layer all around you when firing inside a forest!

Urban reverb:
The many hard surfaces of houses in urban areas give a very direct and harsh reflection when firing a gun. The mod simulates this by playing slapback sounds from the actual walls when firing next to houses in urban areas. The result is a "thickened" feeling when firing your gun.
