Hey guys just letting you know i am still unable to recover the files from my dead computer. So a lot of projects are on standby atm, only those that were on my E Drive like the ships and the stuff i had on dropbox is currently workable by me. This means that there may not be any progress on the tanks or some of the trucks for a while I'm afraid.

I've been putting some time into the HMS Bulwark and the US LPD so ther will be pics and video of those soon and also i've been experimenting with articulated trailers for our supply detachment at the 15th MEU, here are my results so far:

STATUS
Some of you have faced problems with our tools suite these past weeks, sometimes critical ones. Most of these issues are now history; the crusade against bugs continues!

Before discussing the fixes, in this update you will find a new version of Publisher . It has donned its black jacket (a splendid new skin). But it's not just that; the code base has been improved and reworked to work more robustly. We have also updated ImageToPAA to handle TGA files created with various 3D software packages.

Next, a major issue in Addon Builder has been fixed. It will no longer delete the source data when a prefix is defined as rooted path. We hope this has not affected many modders and apologize to those who were. In addition, AB has received a lot of improvements and some bonus that we'll let you discover in the change log. The second infamous issue: "Failed to attach viewer" when Object Builder or Terrain Builder is launched from Steam, is now fixed. We have written a little executable that detaches the tool from Steam before its startup. This way, Buldozer will work as expected when it's started from Steam.

We were able to identify why Game Updater was often non-functional on Windows 7 (curious users will find details in the change log) and fixed these issues. It should now be working as advertised on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Note that using Game Updater may still close your Steam session and / or make it unresponsive. This is because Steam's default behavior is to prevent users to have two opened sessions on the same computer and Game Updater needs to open a session to check the license and download the game data.

P drive content now uses short paths (good old SFN), instead of removing an eventual trailing white-space, and also to avoid any risk of errors when the path contains special characters. We would like to thank all community members who've helped us to confirm and refine this fix.

STATUS
A sentence can be more readable then a wall of 'technical' info in a change log. So, after 12 TECHREPs, we've decided to make them more talkative. With 3 development branch updates behind us, the tools suite turns into its version 0.72 with a slew of fixes and changes, including new tools.

The first one is called “Game Updater”, which aims to improve the experience of switching between the Steam branches of Arma 3 by the avoiding hassle of additional downloads every time you change. In its directory, you will also find Arma3GU which is able to run your additional copy of the game (because some Arma 3 data are registry-driven). It accepts the same startup parameters as the game itself.

Artists may use the second new tool: "Buldozer Configurator". It enables users to configure the Buldozer viewer for Object Builder and Terrain Builder. In addition, they may consult the Buldozer manual released last week.

Thanks to your feedback, reports, forum threads, our Q&A and experience, we were able to fix and improve a lot of points. Included are some very frustrating redundant issues on the batch scripts (DevP, MapDisk and MapFolders). There are probably some remaining issues; if you experience any, let us know! By the way, documentation for the little-known MapFolders utility has been published on the Community Wiki.

Be aware that Buldozer (the viewer) will not work as expected if you run Object Builder from Steam or from Arma 3 Tools Launcher if this last was ran from Steam. The best case of use is to run Arma 3 Tools Launcher from the installation directory and run Object Builder from it.

Finally, modding students have new samples to play with: functions inside an addon and fonts.

Bohemia Interactiv veröffentlichte in seinem SPOTREP #00028 einen Hotfix für den Patch 1.22 auf der ArmA3.com Seite.

• The Steam query network port is now fixed to be always +1 in relation to the game network port (e.g. a server hosted via port 3202, has its Steam query port at 3203)
• Removed: Ability to define a custom Steam query port on servers
• Fixed: Connection string to support joining friends on listen servers
• Added: Server game and Steam query ports are presented to a host when creating a server in-game, in the RPT log and the Dedicated Server command window (forward these to make sure clients can discover / connect)
• Added: Joined sessions listed in the Steam history list
• Hotfixed: Duplicating items in direct / LAN sessions through backpacks (http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=16927)
• Fixed: Client getting stuck in Zeus dialog after a server is terminated

Bohemia Interactiv veröffentlichte in seinem TECHREP #00011 ein Update für die offiziellen ArmA3 Tools auf der ArmA3.com Seite. Mit diesen Tools lassen sich z.b. eigene Addons für ArmA3 erstellen.
